SWEEP ROWING PROGRAM CLRA’s sweep rowing program is for rowers who want to get out on the water and row with a fun community! It’s a great option for those have recently completed the Learn-to-Row Program (or equivalent training), for experienced rowers who have been on an extended break from the water, or for any rower who has a schedule that requires greater flexibility. Rowers in this program may include those who would like to ultimately move on to competitive rowing but would like continued technical development and fitness training. We have sessions most mornings and Sunday afternoons. Sign up in our events calendar for the practice sessions that work best for you and come as your schedule allows! |
COMPETITIVE ROWING CLRA’s competitive program is for experienced rowers who are interested in training to race competitively. The team attends many regattas—from smaller, more local regattas to the large, well-known ones. While the program is primarily focused on sweep rowing, the team does also compete in some sculling events. Rowers participating in this program are required to follow a specific training schedule. All rowers are welcome! Reach out to our Race Captain, Genevieve Looby, to see if this is the option for you. |
LEARN TO ROW Want a fun, new way to get fit outdoors? Our Learn-to-Row (LTR) program is perfect for adults of all ages – no experience needed! Take on a challenging new sport and join our rowing community. Our program kicks off with a mandatory weekend course (full day Saturday, half day Sunday) and runs from mid-September through Thanksgiving. The LTR program is a pre-requisite for joining our club's sweep programs. Learn More |
