Who else is getting excited about racing this summer? Things are starting to happen fast as we gear up for the race season!

This meeting is both for new members to learn the “how-tos” of racing at Carnegie and also for experienced racers.

We will talk about some steps we have put in place for members who wish to compete at a higher level.

You can find our regatta schedule on our club calendar of events. It is being updated regularly

All Lakers interested should plan on attending on:

We will cover:

  • How to be part of the competitive branch of our club

  • Which races are best for your rowing level
  • What kind of commitment is required before, during, and after the race
  • How racing boats are formed (Coaches)
  • The cost of racing
  • What a “boat captain” does
  • What happens if you’ve signed up for a race but have to miss a mandatory race practice or race altogether due to an emergency

During the meeting, there will be time for an open Q&A session.
