Whether you are there to row or there to cheer, the Head of the Charles is one of the most spectacular rowing event on anyone's rowing calendar.

There are no novice events.

Registration for the event does not guarantee a spot, it only allows us to participate in the lottery. However, if you signup and we win the entry through the lottery you are committed to going. Do not signup if there is any chance you may not go.

Important note: We will only consider submitting a boat if members have been active with CLRA this year. If you are considering racing at the Head of the Charles in the future, make sure you are participating in Fall races as well. From one year to another, the lottery process favors crews who came in the top 75% the year before so it is important that we put boats who have a chance of either qualifying or make the top 75%. The lead coach has to know you to be able to boat you. 

Registration closes on Saturday , 8/20 @ midnight

* All sweep events take place on Saturday Oct 22nd.

* The 2x events will take place on Friday Oct 21st for masters 50+ and older and on Saturday Oct 22nd for 30+ and 40+

You should be available for practices 3 weeks prior to the event (from 10/4).

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

We have NO guaranteed entries for the 2022 HOCR.  We are limited by regatta rules to only 4 boat entries in the lottery (and no more than 1 in any event) for each men's and women's events.  Our lottery entries will be based on sign- ups.

TO 2X SCULLERS ENTERING IN THE LOTTERY:

Note that, if you are selected, you should be ready to car top as we cannot guarantee that CLRA will be sending a trailer.

If you do not receive an entry in the lottery and would like to be considered for a sweep event, make sure you enter it as a comment.
