Laker Virtual Happy Hour is this Thursday April 23!
Thursday April 23rd 6pm to 7pm (password is 015775)
We'll make use of the 'breakout room' feature in Zoom to set up chat-sized tables. Bring your chosen beverage!
Donations encouraged to support continued employment of coaches
The Board has agreed to continue to pay coaches during this time of restricted movement. We are now offering coaching six days per week. See below for details. There will be no charge for participating, but we encourage donations to help us pay coach costs for this season.
Donations to support online training sessions can be made here. Log in with the same credential you use to pay your rowing bill.
Laker Virtual World Coffee
Join us during the last half hour of any of the sessions listed below. We'll be grabbing a cup of coffee or breakfast and chatting before we get to work.
Laker Online Training Enhancements and Updated Links
We are adding new training sessions and moving to our own dedicated Zoom account. These links will stay the same week to week so keep this e-mail handy!. All links to online trainings can be found in the Members section of our website under Training, as can recordings of each session. Passwords are now disabled for ease of access. Tuesday 6:30 – 8:00am Stefan, erg drills with conditioning
Wednesday 6:30 – 8:00am Anna and Jamie, cardio with machines

Satuday 8:00 - 9:30am Anna and Jamie, erg work out
Tips for Getting the Most out of Online Training
-
Select 'presenter view' rather than 'gallery view' in the top right hand of your screen, so you mostly see the coach.
-
After you say Good Morning, mute your sound for the duration of the training
-
Bluetooth headphones are ideal for hearing the coach above the whirr of your erg
-
Set up your video so your whole body is visible. For erg sessions, the best place for the camera is a bit to the left of the flywheel. Jeanne has it about right in this pic.
