Help CLRA Support Row New York at the Harlem River Classic
Row New York is a non-profit organization changing the lives of a diverse group of young people in NYC through a combination of rowing instruction and academic tutoring. They also have adaptive rowing programs for both adults and children, so it’s a good cause. For Lakers, it's a chance to race at a different venue without the hassle of boat loading and unloading. The Harlem River Classic is Saturday, May 18thfrom 1-4 p.m. and there are several ways to participate. You can sign up to row or cox in a mixed 8+ for the 500 meter race. You can come and cheer on the Laker boat at Row New York's floating boathouse in northern Manhattan. You can make a donation to help CLRA raise the $4,000 required to enter.
If you would like to row or cox, please let Denise Dwyer know ASAP. Molly will make the line-ups. To donate, go here: https://www.crowdrise.com/o/en/campaign/carnegie-lake-rowing-association/denise-tlanchantin
